The Unmarried Sex And Pro-choice Experiment Failed – It’s Over

Posted by admin on February 19, 2012 in Essays | Short Link

We have experimented with casual sex and the pro-choice argument for a little over a generation. It is a total failure.

Is that generation better off  in the aspects of broken homes, teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and broken families than the generation before it? The answer is clearly no.

Children born to single parent families increased incredibly. The spread of sexually transmitted disease went up significantly. There are more broken families and broken individuals.

When an experiment has clearly failed, you don’t try to fix it with even stupider ideas. Rather you go back to what is tested and works.

No things were not perfect before the experiment began. Before the experiment, teen pregnancy, single parents, broken homes and sexually transmitted diseases were the exception to the rule. After the experiment those things have become the rule.

How much clearer does it have to be that the experiment didn’t work? How much clearer does it have to be for us to conclude that it’s left us with a broken society?

Some liberals may snarkly say, “What should we go back to slavery and the Salem Witch Trials too?”

Of course not.

But if something from the past clearly worked, then we should consider that as something worth bringing back.

We must teach our children once again that sex isn’t meant to be casual, frivolous and outside of marriage. Children must be taught that life is valuable and can’t be murdered because of selfish convenience. If it worked before it can work again. Going back to these simple truths will solve all the side problems created by the liberal ideals of cheap sex and disregard for life.

To those opposed, I ask one simple question. Has the cheapening of sex and the disregard for life made teen pregnancy, broken homes, spread of sexually transmitted disease, and single parenting increase or decrease compared to before cheap sex and disregard for life was supported?
